It was a busy week around here as we prepare for Easter and head into a week of spring break. Which, if I’m being honest, is a week of leaving the house later than 8:10am…oh, how I love spring break. Or any break, for that matter. The more I think about it, I’m not really sure that I’m cut out for this school thing.
Anyway, I spent the week doing tons of fun stuff with the kids. I volunteered in Riley’s class a couple of times as they prepared for an Easter party, a spring bonnet parade, and a spring sing. So super cute. And I spent some time in Liam’s preschool on Thursday morning – he had a really fun egg hunt and the Easter bunny even showed!
While I didn’t get much writing done, I truly enjoyed my favorite role – being mommy.
That said, I do have a couple of articles for you over at Everyday Family. If you’ve ever wondered what to do when a playdate goes awry, or how to prevent playdate meltdowns, check out this article – Solving Playdate Battles.
And if you have a tween on your hands…you might want to read this article – When Tweens Talk Back. Good news – practicing assertiveness skills. Bad news – not fun. Hang in there…this too shall pass (someday, I promise).
Hope you’re enjoying whatever holiday you celebrate – see you back here Monday for some words of wisdom on pint size bullies or, as I like to call them, preschoolers who lack impulse control – as most preschoolers do.
See you then!
